You’ve seen it in the news.  High school and college students who’ve taken their own lives as the only alternative to living a life of being bullied and tormented just for being who they really are.

Created by author Dan Savage, the It Gets Better Project is a place lesbian, gay, bi and transgendered teens who may be going through a tough time in their life can turn to see they’re not alone and that it does get better.

[pullquote quote=”It’s a place where people can share their stories, take the It Gets Better Project pledge, watch videos of love and support, and seek help through the Trevor Project and GLSEN.” credit=””]

The It Gets Better Project is a series of videos by others in the LGBT community who share their own stories of being bullied and coming out and by straight allies who show their support for families and friends who may be LGBT.

Thousands of It Gets Better videos have been recorded and uploaded to YouTube including submissions from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adam Lambert[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ke$ha[/lastfm], Matthew Morrison from “Glee” and the employees from corporations such as The Gap, Google, Facebook and now CBS, who owns AMP Radio.

If you are considering suicide, feel alone or need help, call the 24-hour confidential: Trevor Lifeline 866-488-7386 or visit

And remember, it does get better.
