Who doesn’t have a thing for the sassy, sexy babe in pink, Miss [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm]? Her style is outrageous, her personality is larger than life, and she is almost always diplomatically vocal about her provocative opinions.

Minaj sat down with Elle Magazine and gave them the final word on how she is living her life for the ladies, where she gets her style inspirations from, and what her favorite kind of shoes are!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

In this excerpt from Elle Magazine, Minaj talks about how she used to wear Ed Hardy, her inaccurate fashion comparisons, her feminism, and her love for….booties?

“Early on, Minaj rapped about wearing Ed Hardy (“I lived and shopped in Jamaica, Queens,” she says). These days she attends the Grammys in hair-to-toe custom Givenchy cheetah print”

“I tend to like booties…[pause]”–she takes a beat to clarify: no sexual meaning implied–“and really flashy shoes: totally studded out, in five colors with an insane platform.” [pullquote quote=”I tend to like booties..and really flashy shoes: totally studded out, in five colors with an insane platform.” credit=”Nicki Minaj”]

“This knack for fashion exhibitionism often earns her comparisons to Lil’ Kim, but Minaj is more like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Busta Rhymes[/lastfm] in [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Gaga[/lastfm] packaging: Unlike Kim, her style choices, and even her more sexual lyrics, seem based on her own desires, and her eccentric image masks a steely seriousness.

“She says she’s “fighting for the girls who never thought they could win.” But it seems victory may already be hers.”

And you all know that Nicki Minaj is nothing if not a lady lover. She even likes to sign girlie parts.
