When we woke up this morning, all we could think about is how excited we were to see [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Britney Spears[/lastfm] on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight and that all our grown-woman-meets-teenage-girl-fantasies had come true with the announcement of who Spears’ summer tour mate was going to be.

Well, now we are so, so sad–stomping our feet like petulant children that didn’t get a Barbie bicycle for Christmas. Because Spears’ handsome, delectable partner-in-musical-crime is no longer performing with her and we will be mad at his “people” for the next couple of hours–until we hear his awesome song on AMP again.

According to Live Nation,  Britney Spears was supposed to be touring with none other than…[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Enrique Iglesias[/lastfm]. But CBS News reported less than an hour ago, that Iglesias had pulled out because “plans were reportedly scrapped because Iglesias, who is currently touring Europe promoting ‘Euphoria,’ would be much more than a supporting act on the bill, making it really expensive to produce.”

Spears and the “Tonight (I’m Loving You)” Latin lover were scheduled to do the dates below, including two dates at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and Anaheim’s Honda Center.

June 17 Sacramento, CA Power Balance Pavilion
June 18 San Jose, CA HP Pavilion

June 20 Los Angeles, CA Staples Center

June 24 Anaheim, CA Honda Center

June 28 Portland, OR Rose Garden Arena
June 29 Tacoma, WA Tacoma Dome
July 1 Vancouver, BC Rogers Arena
July 4 Winnipeg, MB MTS Centre
July 6 St. Paul, MN Xcel Center
July 8 Chicago, IL United Center
July 12 Dallas, TX American Airlines Center
July 13 Houston, TX Toyota Center

Since the rumor hasn’t been confirmed or denied, maybe it’s a lie and we can go back to our unmitigated glee. Either way, Brit doesn’t care. She just wants you to…
