Poor little Jenny from the block was in tears sending away over half of the remaning contestants (specifically one early season favorite) after they stumbled through some [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beatles[/lastfm] tunes in Vegas, got axed (or moved on to L.A.) and whittled down to the last twenty-four.

Except we only got to see ten of the contestants that went through.

The remaining 61 contestants headed to Las Vegas’ Mirage Hotel & Casino and performed Beatles songs for the Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE show.

Interscope Records president Jimmy Iovine and producer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Alex Da Kid[/lastfm] were there with other music industry elite who dispensed advice to those remaining.

Here were some of the best performances:

Kendra and Paul – “Blackbird”

Pia and Karen – “Can’t Buy Me Love”

Robbie, Aaron and Jordan – “Got To Get You Into My Life”

Ashley Sullivan got hitched to her boyfriend at the Little White Chapel.

That may have “worked out,” but she (and Sophia) couldn’t work it out on the Beatles’ “We Can Work It Out.”

Sullivan got sent home along with twenty other contestants who needed more than “love.”

When they sent Chris Medina home ( the world’s most perfect boyfriend who was taking care of his wheelchair-bound girlfriend), [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm] felt massive remorse, saying:  ”I just don’t want to tell them no.”

She did, but ended the night with more crocodile tears and statements of  ”I don’t wanna do this anymore.”
