kesha backstage dl [New Music] Kesha is a Controversial Cannibal

People can hate all they want on [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ke$ha[/lastfm], but the fact that people eat up her music like is filet mignon isn’t something to ignore. We like her because she is crazy, dirty, and, ummm, oh yeah, crazy. Ke$ha speaks to those parts of us that are wild and feral; those parts we don’t readily admit to strangers.

Or anyone for that matter. In her new song, “Cannibal,” off her new album of the same title, Ke$ha sings about love, lust, and Jeffrey Dahmer. Yes, Ke$ha equates being a man-eater to a man who literally was a…man-eater. Whoa.

Camp Ke$ha is not renowned for being the most profound of lyricists and that’s why we love her. Sometimes you just need a bit of raunchy, feisty fun to make you take a great, big bite out of life. One such lyric is “Use your finger to stir my tea, and for dessert I’ll suck your teeth, Be too sweet and you’ll be a goner, I’ll pull a Jeffrey Dahmer.”

We are certain that a lot of people who are going to be up-in-arms about these lyrics. And for good reason: Jeffrey Dahmer was a cannibalistic, sociopathic serial killer.

  • What do you think? Is Ke$ha’s lyric out of line? Did she go to far? Or is it clever? Let us know in the comments!

I agree; Ke$ha makes a gruesome reference. But in a strange way i’m kinda glad she did bc my generation doesn’t know who dahmer is. When i first heard the song i had to google “jeffery dahmer” and i was, of course, horrified. i’m glad she made the reference to dahmer bc i wouldn’t have known about dahmer if she hadn’t. (and jsyk just because Ke$ha sang about him doesn’t make ppl my age think of him as sexy or cool, if that came to mind for anybody)
