Well it’s October 1st, so let’s get down to business and start partying it up for Oktoberfest! We’ve got a list of the best LA and OC hotspots for the German holiday after the jump!

Old World German Restaurant Oktoberfest

Old World Village is a shopping and entertainment complex open year round in Huntington Beach. Every September and October, though, the complex pulls out all the stops and turns into Munich on the Pacific. There are dachshund races for the whole family to enjoy, and oompah-pah bands imported for Germany and Austria just for the occasion.

This seven-weekend celebration, which has been rated “California’s #1 Oktoberfest,” will feature German and American beer; food prepared by German butchers and bakers; live bands from both Germany and the United States; log-sawing and stein-holding contests, and special competitions for children; and an outdoor Budenstrasse with game booths, exhibitors, and a petting zoo.
