Lady Gaga MeatKini For Vogue Hommes Japan

[lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] broke one the cardinal sins of famous flesh; she put a bad taste in the mouth of PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) President Ingrid Newkirk for donning a “meat-kini” on the cover of this month’s issue of Vogue Hommes in Japan. We don’t really see the problem. [lastfm]Lady Gaga [/lastfm]treats herself like a piece of meat for the paparazzi vultures to viciously nibble at anyway.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk would probably stab us in the face with a carrot sliver if she read that comment. She said about [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]’s brawny bikini:

[lastfm]Lady GaGa'[/lastfm]s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body. No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that’s the look they were going for, they achieved it.

While that was eloquently stated, we can only shrug our shoulders at [lastfm]Lady Gaga'[/lastfm]s feeble attempt at performative characterization. Yes, we know, Gaga. People treat you like an animal, feed on your flesh, suck your bones dry, and spit you out just like a fatty piece of meat.  Your life as a pop star is basically a feast for the vampiric masses. This is why you need to be hospitalized so much. Yes, we know, Gaga. Your life is so hard. Blah, blah, blah.

Last year, PETA asked GaGa to pose naked for its Rather Go Naked than Wear Fur campaign after she claimed: “I hate fur and I don’t wear fur.”

We guess fur doesn’t fit into her artistic vision. So slather on the A-1 and whip out the steak knives because we are coming for you [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm].
