Who doesn’t love a bag sale? Over the weekend Michelle and I woke up bright and early for the first ever LAMB & Harajuku Lovers sample sale in Los Angeles. I can’t even put in worlds what we saw and what went down.
L.A.M.B. is a fashion line by AMP artist [lastfm]Gwen Stefani[/lastfm]. The line manufactures apparel and accessories. Anything from shoes, watches, bags and a fragrances. The name is tied in with her debut solo album Love Angel Music Baby. The line is influenced by a variety of fashions cultures, including Guatemalan, Japanese, Indian and Jamaican styles.
Harajuku Lovers is the sister brand of L.A.M.B. Gwen decided to create another line that would be more accessible to her fans and the general public. The concept for Harajuku Lovers revolves around the Shibuya, Tokyo. Harajuku Lovers tends to focus specifically on “Kawaiiness” made famous by the streets of Harajuku in Japan.
Now for the sale it was brought to Los Angeles by SavvyCo Nyc. They usually have this sale every year out in New York this was the fist time they brought it out to Los Angeles. It was credit card only and it was on a first come first serve basis, there where so many bags out in about 10 tables. Michelle was a total professional and focused on one kind of bag, I on the other hand was amazed by all the [lastfm]Gwen Stefani[/lastfm] bags in one room.
Michelle taught me the most important thing this weekend “you can put it down, but you can’t pick it back up because someone will snatch it.” This was the first sale of this magnitude that I’ve been to that was this insane. I got to witness the sales woman holding out wallets and people snatching them out of her hands like it was a cure for world hunger.
If you missed it this time around Michelle was able to talk to a SavvyCo Nyc rep and they told her that they would be back before the end of the year. We will defiantly keep you posted and let you know when there back in Los Angeles. It was the sale of the month so far where else can you find a L.A.M.B bag for up to 75% off?
Here are some of the bags Michelle and I got:
What do you guys think? Do you own a L.A.M.B bag or a Harajuku Bag? What sale should we hit up next?
