It might be horrible for the artist when new material leaks on the web before the desired release date, but man oh man is it ever awesome for the fans who get an early taste for new music. Case and point, the new [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] single “Mine” that was leaked online nearly two weeks before its release, prompting her label to officially release the single for Swift’s eager fans.

Needless to say, the song immediately skyrocketed to the top of iTunes, so don’t wait any longer to listen to the new [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] single “Mine”!

It was apparent that [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] fans were dying to hear new material from the country sweetheart and fans got a taste from her upcoming album, Speak Now, earlier than expected. The song has only been out for a couple of days, but has already hit the No. 1 download on iTunes.

The song encompasses all the key qualities of a [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] song; first love, boys, heartache and that peppy country twang that makes you forget that she’s singing about love turned sour.

She discussed the song’s meaning in a live webcast saying it was about finding someone who could make her believe in love and she’s “never going to go past hoping that love will work out. Even if it seems really hard.”

Ain’t that the truth. Love is hard, but listening to [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] sing about it makes it a whole lot easier to understand. Watch for her new album, Speak Now, hitting stores on October 25.  What do you think of the new single?
