Every year, high school graduates attend thousands of ragin’ graduation parties–but none of them include [lastfm]Dr. Dre[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Timbaland[/lastfm]. Just down the street from the AMP Radio studios, Culver City High School gave its senior Centaurs more than a high school diploma; they gave them the hip-hop performance of a lifetime.

If you want to live vicariously through the students of Culver City High School instead of just re-reading the “K.I.T. Tweet you this summer!” messages in your yearbook, put your hands up and get ready for some live footage after the break!

Never has a high school gymnasium heard more dope beats and positive chanting of “Promiscuous Girl”  than the gym at Culver City High School. Rapper-producer label mates, [lastfm]Dr. Dre[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Timbaland[/lastfm], got up on stage with a completely surprise performance for the seniors. A student Saul Salmeron told a reporter, “When we walked in, we were like, ‘Whoa. Is this a second prom?.”

The Culver City High School students got this one-of-a-kind experience thanks to Hewlett-Packard and Interscope Records who not only put them in the presence of hip-hop legends but gave them free food, a raffle, and the school $10,000 worth of computer equipment for the school. So, no reason to be jealous Junior Centaurs; at least you get more computers to do homework on.

Dre, who actually never graduated from high school, came out to cheers and camera phone wielding teenagers. [lastfm]Timbaland[/lastfm] then rocked the stage with performances of “The Way I Are,” ‘‘Promiscuous Girl,” ‘‘Carry Out” and “Say Something.” The two didn’t perform together but their Interscope record label chairman Jimmy Iovine is definitely not opposed to that idea,“We should be so lucky. I can only get them so close. The rest is up to them. Jimmy, if you are already working on concepts for their inevitable collaboration album, we really think that they do a mash-up of [lastfm]Timbaland’s[/lastfm] “Promiscuous Girl” and [lastfm]Dr. Dre[/lastfm]’s “Housewife.” That would be amazing.

Happy graduation to our local Culver City High School seniors! Watch the live footage below and see if you made it onto the Associated Press vid!
