Lady Gaga Performs Before She Was Famous
Lady Gaga wasn’t always the in your face, fashion forward performer that we’ve come to love. In a land before time, she was once an New York University student with hopes for fame and stardom. Here she is performing at Ultraviolet Live, NYU’s annual talent show, when she would still wear pants and used her birth name, Stefani Germanotta.
This video is proof that Gaga’s talent is the true catalyst for her rising star. The first song she performs is called “Captivated,” and the second one is “Electric Kiss.” Although she did not win the competition she managed to take home 3rd place. However, she is the long run winner now that she’s an internationally famous super star. Very cool video and she’s got a truckload of talent even then. The compositions clearly weren’t pop-oriented but you can see her writing style already formed at that point. Nice find!
