Never Needed To Happen: TimberBrit the Musical

Wow, just when I thought Britney Spears couldn’t get any larger than life, composer Jacob Cooper decided to prove me wrong. He’s penned Justin & Britney, a musical saying that Britney’s persona has become so out of control that she might as well be a fictional character.  Using the singer as inspiration, Cooper developed Timberbrit, a pop opera about the singer and her former lover Justin Timberlake. The musical makes sense of Britney’s last tumultuous years, into a final dramatic crescendo between her and Justin.

Cooper developed a technique called “time-stretching” to slow down the songs from Britney’s catalogue so that they sound almost like a vaudeville act, where you can hear every last murmur and imperfection.  He then formatted the musical around Brit’s song catalogue and developed the love saga between her and Justin, having Justin’s undying love for the pop tart force him to try and save her.  Check out a clip from the “musical” and let us know if you’d get a ticket to see the ultimate Britney homage in the comments.
