Jessica Simpson To Headline Amusement Park?

The latest news for Jessica Simpson and her fight to revive her career is that she plans to headline a show at the Texas Sea World. She’ll be performing there with none other than the Daddy Ray Cyrus!  On May 9th, the good people of Texas have a chance to see Jessica perform for the mere cost of admission to the park.

Still, is this the smartest move for her career?  Especially after the recent snafu with her country music career and claims that she’d be returning to her pop roots, is doing more small time country shows the best move?  I’d certainly like to see Jessica make a great pop comeback, but I don’t think booking shows like this is the way to go.  What do you think?  Let us know in the comments.
