And the loser is…

Last night the very tattoo covered hottie Megan Joy was booted off. Megan gave a very gracious good-bye. She parted ways with American Idol singing her version of Bob Marley’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low.”

David Cook also stopped by his old stomping ground to perform.  Check it out below!

And Lady Gaga also came through to show the Idols her Poker Face in person.  Check her out!  Crazy outfit huh?

After Tuesday Night:

Is it mean that I want the blind one to go home?  It is, isn’t it?  Scott MacIntyre did well and all, I’m just over him.  I don’t know why.  And I disagree with Kara – his hair looks terrible!

No matter how his hair looks, he still did way better than these two:

american-idol-anoopAnoop Desai:  He sang Usher, “Caught Up,” but he didn’t dance!  He just kinda walked around the stage looking angry.  I don’t know about you guys, but when I think Usher I think incredible dance moves, sexy abs and R ‘n B swagger, not Anoop Dawg mean muggin’ the camera while his four buddies in the audience cheer him on.  Kara said it sounded like “a bunch of frat guys got up and dared you to sing Usher,” and I have to agree with her.  Simon called him an utter mess and a wannabe, saying “It actually gave me a headache.”  Anoop’s been singing ballads the last few rounds and tried to pick up the pace and show America his playful side this time around, but even though he sang the song well, it didn’t distract from the fact that he’s not Usher.  At all.

american-idol-meganMegan Joy:  She took a stab at Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low.”  After last week’s catastrophe, she decided to do a song that she really loves, but the judges didn’t love it at all!  I have to say I didn’t either.  The song didn’t sound good with her jazzy, bluesy voice, and it actually was a little bit annoying by the end.  She ends with “I think my fans were feeling it.  Vote for me guys!”  She really thinks she has fans already?  Homegirl’s about to get voted off American Idol.  After comments like: “I really like you but I think you’re in trouble!”  “It was boring, monotonous and indulgent.”  And “it was like watching paint dry,” you have to wonder where this confidence is coming from.  Well, I take that back – she is pretty!  Not a very good singer though.  Time to cut the cord America!

On to the good ones.  Here’s who I loved last night on Idol:

Danny Gokey: He sang “What Hurts the Most” by Rascal Flatts and did so good!  I’m not the biggest Danny fan, in fact I think his raspy voice is not nearly as good as some of the other contestants voices, but he killed it last night!  He had me thinking I was just a hater!  He left Paula wanting more.  Although she probably wants a lot of things, like another pill.  But really, he had one of the best performances of the night!

Adam Lambert:  Surprised?  I feel like the San Diego rocker can do no wrong in this competition!  He sang Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” and really pulled it off.  Go figure.  Paula put his “true genius” in the same category as Mick Jagger and Stephen Tyler.  Yea, we’ll see!

Kris Allen: He made “Ain’t No Sunshine” his own, and he’s so cute!  Most of the time I forget who Kris is, but he definitely stood out this week.  I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more of him.

american-idol-scottScott MacIntyre:  Ok, ok, so he did really well!  He showed emotion singing a classic Billy Joel song on the piano and the judges loved him.  And he’s so nice, that one.  All smiles even though he’s blind.

I am so mean.

Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud were just ok.  Sad because they’re two of my favorites!  Matt sang “You Found Me” by The Fray and Lil sang some Celine Dion song, but the judges weren’t partial to either of them.  In my opinion, they both still deserve to make it to the next round and maybe win, so for their sake, I hope they start picking good songs!

american-idol-allison-dressAllison Iraheta sang “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt.  Honestly though, I couldn’t listen to what she was singing because I was so distracted by her terrible outfit.  I mean honestly, terrible!  What was she thinking?  Fire your stylist girl.  Not flattering in the slightest.
