No Way News! Stoner Imagines Marriage
An Australian man spent nearly a decade beliving he was married, but was not exactly sure because he was very “high” at the time. The 38-year-old man believed he may have been married after he was made to sign a document when his former flatmate moved out. The incident came into question after the man was incapable of finding documentation of the divorce for the wedding officiant.
Eventually, the Family Law Court in Sydney became involved where the man explained that he remembered signing a divorce document, but had no recollection of a wedding taking place. The man then told the court the details of the wedding ceremony must have slipped his mind because he was stoned at the time.
However, once the man contacted his former roomate she explained to him that the contract he signed was a residential tenancy agreement. He now has the greenlight to be married. Let’s hope he remembers this one.
